If you have been reading this blog for a while, you know that I married into a Persian family and so I have been exposed to (and a huge fan of) rose water for several years now. I didn't think of using it on my face or body until a few years ago, but I am so glad that I finally figured out what a great skincare product it is and how wonderful it feels on my skin. I am also so happy to see it become a mainstream beauty product. I absolutely love to use rose water for so many things, but let me tell you, it is pretty much the only thing you need to use on your face. Beyond using rose water on your face, it makes a great addition to do it yourself body care. I like adding it to homemade lotion and putting it straight into my bathwater for a fragrant, relaxing treat. I have never really given much thought to the state of my eyes until after I had three children...really close together. The second two at the same time...

I have been using both the DNA Serum and Elite Serum for a little over a week and I can already tell a difference. Sometimes I just don't know where to begin when I want to buy a new outfit, or try a new look with makeup. I like to experiment with makeup and fashion, but sometimes I like an extra boost getting started with it. Enter a new website devoted to helping you discover your best bets in fashiona and beauty-StyleUnited. Style United is a great website full of tools to help you discover trends or even experiment with different looks. There are "style file" quizzes you can take to tell you what your style is in different categories. After you take the quizzes, the website will suggest different products to you.
I had a lot of fun taking these quizzes. For the fashion quiz, my result was "flirty romantic" which I think hit the nail right on the head. The outfits they suggested were almost all things I would consider wearing. I love that there is an option to save the things you like in your profile.

For the makeup quiz my result was "fresh" which once again I felt was dead on. There were some great product suggestions in this category as well. You can also input information for your skin type (mine is dry) and hair type (mine is wavy) to find the best products to fit your needs.

I really like the StyleUnited website and I plan to utilize it quite often when I am the mood to get a new outfit. I find that I like the fashion part of the website the best. There is definitely something for everyone at Style United.

Everest Nutrition Krill Oil Review & Giveaway

A few weeks ago, I was provided the opportunity to try Everest Nutrition Krill Oil. I have been meaning to try krill oil for a long time. My husband is a licensed Chiropractor so our family is definitely into taking care of our bodies with proper chiropractic care and high quality supplements. We have been taking  Omega 3 supplements in the form of fish oil for a few years. I will admit I started taking the kids gummy kind because the liquid kind was hard to swallow. I am thinking that continuing on the regimen of Krill oil, maybe it will dissipate the symptoms all together…but only time will tell. I will definitely take a day of mild cramping over the 3-4 days of severe cramping I usually have.  As I mentioned before, I am young and healthy but I do have a major problem with eczema and dry skin, particularly on the face. The biggest improvement I noticed with taking the krill oil is how wonderful my skin looks and feels.  Any time I have taken an omega 3 supplement, I have noticed somewhat of a change in how my skin feels, but the Krill oil has made a huge difference and it did so in just a short amount of time. I look at myself in the mirror and actually feel like I look cute! It’s great to look in the mirror and not see dry patches or red splotches.
