I just got a brand new sewing machine for Christmas. (I might have pointed it out and directly told my husband that he was to get me one...) I'll admit that I haven't got around to using it much just yet because we were in the process of looking for a house and then moving into the house once we found one and well, I have 3 very demanding yet-to-be-school-aged children. Anyway, as soon as I get a table, or at least a makeshift table, I'm going to start working on the many projects I have pinned on Pinterest. I am most looking forward to learning to sew clothes and quilts. HOPEFULLY I will be decent enough at it!

In the meantime, I am trying to build up a fabric stash. It never hurts to have tons of fabric on hand to choose from when inspiration hits for a project. Cravebox announces CEO, Launches new website

It looks like the official start to Cravebox is just around the corner. Yesterday, it was announced the Kitty Kolding is the new C.E.O for Cravebox and that it is now a stand alone company (it was formely ran through an excellent word of mouth marketing company called SheSpeaks.) With this change also came a new website and the announcement of "limited edition" boxes. The limited edition boxes will focus on specific themes and like the regular Cravebox will cost $10. The big difference is if you are interested in a limited edition box, you will be given 3 days to say so and then Cravebox will do a random lottery to pick a limited number of those people interested to receive a box. Some upcoming Limited Edition boxes include a "summer beauty" box a "back to school" box and even a "dog lover's" box! You can even sign up to be notified via email when these boxes become available so you can take the opportunity to try and get them! According to Cravebox.com, the official full launch of Cravebox is set to take place sometime in May. However, you can sign up now to be on the waiting list to be notified of when subscription slots become available! Seems like exciting things are afoot in the Cravebox world, I am really looking forward to May!

This is GUD stuff!

Recently, I discovered Klout.com. I had heard of it previously and knew that it measured how influential you are through social media, but I signed up for an account and learned that there are other benefits to Klout as well.They have a pretty cool "perks" program that allows users, depending on their Klout score and influence levels on certain subjects (the qualifications are different for each perk) to try new products. As luck would have it, the first "perk" I qualified for was for a box of Gud products. I have already been using some of Gud's products since I first discovered them at Kroger about a month or so ago, so I was not about to turn down an opportunity for more smell gudness. There is so much I love about Burt's Bees new line of bath and body products, the main ones being that they are free of harmful chemicals and still manage to smell fantastic!

I was so excited to receive my box in the mail.

When I opened the box from Klout, there was another box inside with the Gud products inside. 





I am pretty sure this is the prettiest product box I have ever seen. Of course, that is not surprising, it seems that Gud prides itself on being fun, modern and CUTE!

Here is what was in my box:

I was THRILLED to see the body spray. Admittedly, I am not usually a body spray kind of girl, but these Gud products smell so good! The second I sprayed it, I could not stop smelling my wrist. I have been an orange petalooza devotee, but since getting this box full of Gudies, I am definitely split between these two scents!

I am IN LOVE with the Lotion. As I just mentioned, I love the orange petalooza scent, I have been using the shampoo, conditioner and body wash for as long as they have been available. The lotion is icing on the cake. It smells good, of course, but it also feels awesome. I have found myself putting it on multiple times a day, just to feel that lotion-y softness. I would say it is the best lotion I have ever used!

I really like the Vanilla Flame body wash. I was afraid I wouldn't care for it, because let's face it, there is vanilla in every single bath and body line that ever did exist. There is something a little different about this vanilla, and mixed with my orange petalooza shampoo and conditioner, it kind of smelled like a great orange dreamsicle in my shower! :)

Gud is all of the things I love wrapped into one fantastic product line- fun, flirty, feminine and free of harmful chemicals. Do yourself a favor, go to your local Kroger, Ulta or Target and try these products imediately!

Philip's Satin Epilator Review

I was beyond excited when my invitation to join the Philip's satin perfect epilator campaign through Bzzagent showed up in my inbox. I immediately joined in and eagerly awaited the day the postman brought my package to the door. I have always wanted to try an epilator, but never took the plunge. I must admit, that tiny contraption intimidated me at first. I knew that the way an epilator works is by pulling each hair from it's root and that sounded pretty painful. I finally sucked it up a few days later and took the epilator and all of it's pieces out of the box. It came with a nice bag to keep everything in together. There was an instruction sheet that said to use the "optimal performance cap" since I am a beginner. There are a few other "caps" that the epilator comes with and the instructions of an explanation of how and when to use each. There are 2 speeds, I chose speed one, which seemed less intimidating to me and turned it on and BOY did it hurt! Like I said earlier, I expected that it would , so I wasn't surprised, but I was not able to make it through epilating even just one leg. However, the half of my leg I did make it through is SO smooth! And the hair is definitely growing back slower. I usually shave every other day if not every day because I am fair skinned and have dark hair. For me, the initial pain of the epilator is worth the extra time I can go between hair removal. I also know that the more I use my new epilator,  I will get more used to that pulling sensation caused by the hair being removed a the roots. For me, that is worth it. And no pain, no gain, right? :)
