About the book-
A beautiful woman stands by the side of the road, barefoot and bleeding, a child in her arms. Someone just tried to kill her, but she wouldn't recognize him if she saw his face. She doesn't even remember her own name.
A suburban cop surveys a kitchen in disarray—a woman and child missing, a chilling note. This crime scene is unlike any he has ever seen.
The man who calls himself Gideon waits and plans. He sees himself as a destroyer of evil, one who rids the world of abominations. He has already killed five. He will kill again.
And somewhere in the wilderness, in a secret geocache near where the wild swans gather, lies the unspeakable clue that links them all together.
Michigan's rugged and beautiful Upper Peninsula is the setting for this absorbing tale of love and loss, beauty and terror, grievous sins and second chances. A deftly woven thriller from the bestselling author of the Rock Harbor novels.
Previously published as Abomination.
My thoughts-
It's been a while since I got to read a book by Colleen Coble so when I saw this one, I grabbed it! I always enjoy her work. I didn't realize it was several books into a series, but it stood alone on it's own absolutely fine. The book kept my wheels turning trying to figure out what was going on, who might be the bad guy, and wondering if the main character would get her memories back. I was quite interested in these characters and the outcome of their story, so I will probably go back and read the other books in the series as well. I love that the book is edgy but not completely out of whack due to the fact that it is written in the genre of Christian suspense. That doesn't mean it isn't suspenseful or interesting. I think Mrs. Coble does a fantastic job of pushing the envelope without it getting to an uncomfortable level. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys suspense novels.

The Inn at Ocean's Edge by Colleen Coble Blog Tour & Book Review + Giveaway
Disclosure of material connection- I received of a copy of the book from the publisher via Litfuse Group in exchange for my honest thoughts. I was not required to write a positive review and all opinions stated are 100% my own.
About the book-
Claire's visit to a luxury hotel in Maine awakens repressed memories, threatening all she holds dear.
In 1989, Claire Dellamare disappeared from her own fourth birthday party at the Hotel Tourmaline on the island of Folly Shoals, Maine. She showed up a year later at the same hotel, with a note pinned to her dress but no explanation. Nobody knows where Claire spent that year---and until now, Claire didn't even know she had ever been missing.
But when Claire returns to the Hotel Tourmaline for a business meeting with her CEO father, disturbing memories begin to surface . . . despite her parents' best efforts to keep them forgotten.
Luke Rocco lost his mother under equally mysterious circumstances---at the same time Claire disappeared. After a chance encounter reveals the unlikely link between them, Claire and Luke set out together to uncover the truth about what happened that fateful year.
With flashbacks swimming just beneath her consciousness and a murderer threatening her safety, Claire's very life depends on unscrambling her past . . . even if her family refuses to acknowledge it. Someone-maybe everyone-is hiding something from Claire Dellamare, and it will cost her everything to drag the truth out into the light.
My thoughts-I always love the books Colleen Coble comes out with. She is great at weaving mystery with romance and creating interesting stories to keep us turning the pages. I think this has been my favorite Colleen Coble book yet! First of all, the book cover is beautiful and really sets the tone for the story. From the very first pages we are on a journey with Claire as she tries to figure out exactly what happened to her so many years ago. We get to discover bits and pieces of her past as she discovers them herself and I think that makes this book even more interesting. I also really liked the aspect of Kate's relationship with Luke and him trying to figure out what happened to his mom. Sometimes my very favorite kind of book is the kind that keeps you guessing what happened or whodunnit or really gets you thinking trying to figure it all out and The Inn at Ocean's Edge does that very well. I really enjoyed the mystery of trying to figure out what happened to Kate and a child and loved the way it ended...in a way I wasn't expecting. If you enjoy suspense, I absolutely recommend you give this book a try!

About the book-
Elin Summerall was one of the lucky ones. Not only did she get a heart transplant, but the donor was a perfect fit. A miraculously perfect fit. But when Elin begins having violent flashbacks---and vivid dreams of being strangled---she realizes that she has been the recipient of more than just a new heart . . . Elin is remembering her donor's murder. Her strange affliction has attracted some unwanted attention: from the press, from the authorities . . . and from the killer himself. Now, living alone with her young daughter and aging mother, Elin is being stalked---by a man she's only met in her nightmares. The police are dubious of her story, but one off-duty FBI agent is eager to help her: Agent Marc Everton, the father of Elin's daughter. Of course, he doesn't know about that. Yet. Now, in a remote cottage on Hope Island, Elin and Marc must probe the secrets buried in her borrowed heart. And there's no time to waste. One man is desperate to silence her---before she remembers too much.

My thoughts-
I really enjoyed "Seagrass Pier". To me, the best sort of books are the ones that keep you turning pages and keep you on your toes with where the plot is going to go. I definitely did not see certain twists coming and I liked the unique storyline of Elin's new heart giving her visions and thoughts about the person who murdered the person who gave it to her. It is interesting to think about how receiving someone else's organs might affect someone, that is something I had never really thought of before. I could tell right away that there would be an interesting tension between Elin and Marc and I was curious to see if that would go anywhere as well. Colleen Coble has done a great job here of keeping this reader engaged in this characters that jump off of the pages and come to life in my head. If the interesting dynamic between Marc and Elin couldn't have held my attention, trying to figure out who is harassing Elin most certainly would have. I absolutely recommend this book to anyone who enjoys

My thoughts on Tidewater Inn:
This novel takes to of my favorite themes of a novel- mystery and romance- and puts them together. Tidewater Inn begins with a bang, Libby's business partner Nicole is kidnapped almost immediately, a crime for which Libby is immediately suspected. Not only does she need to find Nicole to clear her name, a father she thought was dead long ago has left her his inn on Hope Island and she has two siblings and an aunt she never knew about to try and get to know. Aunt Pearl is a shoulder for Libby to lean on when her new found brother and sister don't trust Libby's motives for being on the island. They feel their father should have left the inn to them. I really enjoyed seeing how each of these relationships would take off. Libby has also has met a very interesting man in Alec, but is he truly interested in her and helping her find Nicole, or does he think she is responsible for the disappearance?
This is a great novel with many twists and turns, great characters and a wonderful story line, all leading up to a very intense ending. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who likes suspense!
