*Disclosure of material connection- I received a copy of the book from the publisher in exchange for my honest thoughts. I was not required to write a positive review and all opinions are 100% my own.

About the book-

Whether you’re hosting a holiday feast or are simply craving classic comfort foods, you can have your cake and eat a ketogenic diet, too. Keto Celebrations is filled with 100 special-occasion recipes you know and love, but with a keto twist—from cocktails and appetizers to entrees, side dishes, and desserts.
Try sweet and savory recipes like Toast-less Blueberry French Toast, Pizza Pull-Apart Bread, Slow Cooker Brisket, and Apple Pie Bites that use easy, affordable ingredients you can find at any grocery store. Get cooking tips, prep pointers, and substitution suggestions for creating crowd-pleasing dishes that make the most out of each celebration.
My thoughts-
This is the best Ketogenic cookbook I have seen in a while. I already have a similar cookbook on my shelf, but it doesn't even tough this book in terms of the absolutely delicious recipes included. I just restarted my Keto journey because I have had a bad couple of years where I got of track and kind of went off the deep end and find myself at the heaviest I have ever been. I have not been happy, I don't feel comfortable and I am fed up with feeling that way so I am back on track and I wanted to to get a leg up on the holidays which is when I tend to spiral back into bad habits. There are so many delicious recipes here that I can bring to the family Thanksgiving and Christmas get togethers I won't have to feel like I am missing out on all of the good stuff! There are other celebrations covered as well, and some of these I would eat at any time during the year, celebration or not! I absolutely recommend this book to anyone on a Ketogenic or low carb diet.

200 Under 20g Net Carbs by Linsday Boyers

*Disclosure of material connection- I received a copy of the book from the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for my honest thoughts. I was not required to write a positive review and all opinions stated are 100% my own.

About the book-

Let’s face it, staying on track with the keto diet can be a challenge. But now your search for the perfect keto-friendly recipes to help you keep track of your daily macros and carbohydrate goals is over!

With 200 under 20g Net Carbs there is no guess work, no endless research, and no confusion. It includes all the delicious recipes you need to meet your goals—simply use the daily meal plans or mix-and-match your favorite recipes to keep track of your daily net carbs. These 200 tasty, keto-friendly recipes are all under 20 grams of net carbs so you know you’re never going above your daily limit again!

If you’re trying to stay strictly at 20 grams of net carbs, you can pick one of the daily meal plans to give you some guidance. If you need more variety, swap in your favorite recipes to create the perfect meal plan that works for you. And if you’re just looking for some low-carb recipes but aren’t limiting your diet to 20 grams of net carbs, this is a great place to start! With detailed nutrition stats, you’ll have all the information you need to make the keto diet work for you. Choose a recipe (or two) and get cooking!

My thoughts-

This may be one of the best Keto cookbooks I have come across, and I have seen (and owned) plenty of them. 200 under 20g takes the hard work of searching for recipes to keep your net carb count in check and provides you with all you need in one book to get on the right track with keto or give you the jump start you need (like me) to get back into it after having struggles fitting it into your busy life. Not only is the book a great way to make your Keto journey a little easier as far as carb counting, but pretty much all of the recipes sound appetizing so there are plenty of recipes to keep things from getting boring. I absolutely recommend this book to anyone trying to lose weight or follow a keto lifestyle.

My thoughts-
This is the book I didn't know I had been waiting for! Two diets that I can get behind- merging together! I absolutely love the idea of a Mediterranean take on the Ketogenic diet. There is a great deal of information at the beginning of the book explaining both diets and how they can work together and then there are countless recipes- delicious, healthy recipes. I love cookbooks that include nutrition facts, so I was happy to see that here, but Molly Devine takes that one step further and includes the macros as well. I am so excited about this book! Keto Simple by Martina Sajerova

*Disclosure of material connection- I received a copy of the book from the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for my honest thoughts. I was not required to write a positive review and al opinions stated are 100% my own.

About the book-

Best-selling KetoDiet author, Martina Slajerova gives 100 delicious recipes that are easy in preparation and technique, frugal in the number of required ingredients, and can be put together quickly. No stress. No complication. Just a great keto meal from stove to table in minimal time.

Keto has become the hottest health-supportive diet around. However, even the most committed keto follower doesn't always have the time and inclination to cook for 90 minutes or the budget-bandwidth for 14-ingredient dinners. With Keto Simple, you can live your keto lifestyle without it becoming expensive, complicated, or all-consuming. Along with simply amazing recipes, find meal-prepping, planning, and shopping strategies that save you time and money.

Whether you are looking for a quick recipe to throw in your office lunchbox or how to build out leftovers and simple base recipes into tomorrow's menu, Keto Simple has you covered.

My thoughts-

When it comes to Ketogenic cookbooks, if either Maria Emmerich or Martina Slajerova, I am going to look to it for recipes. Before I even so this was a cookbook by Martina Slajerova, I loved the beautiful cover and the clever play on words of the title "Keto Simple" (keep it simple) and the idea of easy meals that could help keep me on track. When I dove into the recipes I was even more impressed. There were not only some great breakfasts, and a nice section on lunchboxes, there were several interesting dinners with some outside of the box meats like duck and lamb, which I think can really elevate a meal. I absolutely recommend this book to anyone who wants to live a healthy low carb lifestyle full of tasty meals but that may not have the time to make elaborate meals.

The Keto For One Cookbook by Dana Carpender

*Disclosure of material connection- I received a copy of the book from the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for my honest thoughts. I was not required to write a positive review and all opinions stated are 100% my own.

About the book-

With Keto For One, get 100 delicious dishes for every meal of the day—perfectly proportioned and macro-balanced.

Single-serve cooking is one of the biggest challenges when trying to adhere to an eating plan. Most recipes are portioned for 4–6 servings, which means you’ll be eating the same thing for a week or trying to adjust recipes and struggling to figure out proper cooking times and fractions of measurements. With keto, you also have the additional challenge of balancing your macronutrients—a few too many carbs or not enough fat and your recipe is no longer in the ketogenic zone.

No more fussing with recipes. No more eating leftovers. No more wasted food (or money!). No more cobbling together snacks and calling it a meal. No more temptation to give into carb-laden, nutrient-void, single-serving convenience foods. Just delicious recipes from "low-carb queen" and best-selling author Dana Carpender. Enjoy delicious keto burgers and smoothies, as well as quick skillet stir-fries and plenty of tasty meals that can be pulled together quickly or ahead of time.

My thoughts-

I wish there were more cookbooks like this, not just for a ketogenic lifestyle, but in general. Sometimes people are single and need recipes for one, or sometimes people are the only ones in their house eating a particular way and this takes the guesswork out of downsizing a recipe and makes it easy to feed one person. My only complaint is that I wish it were longer. I do love that there is a section of sauces at the end. I am especially excited about the cheese sauce to pour over broccoli, cauliflower or whatever else. I thought it was a little heavy on the egg recipes but most Keto cookbooks are. I definitely hope there is an extended version or part 2 in the near future with even more great recipes for one!

The Keto All Day Cookbook by Martina Slajerova

*Disclosure of material connection- I received a copy of the book from the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for my honest thoughts. I was not required to write a positive review and all opinions stated are 100% my own.

About the book-

Keto is the top-trending supportive diet. Bolstering its reputation is research that strongly suggests that a keto diet may help reverse diabetesobesitycancer, and the effects of aging. However, in order to reap the benefits, you need to stick to the keto plan at every meal. That can be challenging when eating breakfast during your commute or figuring out what to eat for dinner after a long day. And what to do about lunch? Especially when your lunch "hour" may be 10 minutes at your desk. With Keto All Day you won't be tempted to blow your keto diet on a carb-filled snack or a processed convenience meal simply because you are tired, rushed, or just don't know what to prepare.

Enjoy tasty, flavorful recipes for snacks and meals, such Breakfast Egg Muffins, Pizza Waffles, Carrot Cake Oatmeal, Southern Duck Deviled Eggs, Eggplant Parma Ham Rolls, and Taco Frittata. Keto All Day even has recipes for delicious drinks and desserts, including Cookie Dough Mousse, Boston Cream Pie, and Raspberry Lime Electrolyte Cooler.

My thoughts-

The Keto All Day Cookbook is full of a variety of recipes that are both pleasing and satisfying. I like that there is a lunch section because that is where I struggle a lot when trying to come up with new keto recipes. There are also a lot of different ethnic dishes in here which I appreciate because I like changing up what I am eating and I enjoy foods from all around the world. I think I would eat nearly anything in this book. The Keto All Day Cookbook is the perfect cookbook for someone falling a ketogenic diet or who just want some new healthy recipes.

Keto in an Instant 100 Ketogenic Recipes for Your Instant Pot by Stacey Crawford

*Disclosure of material connection- I received a copy of the book from the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for my honest thoughts. I was not required to write a positive review and all opinions stated are 100% my own.

About the book-

Go keto with 100 ketogenic recipes that can all be made in your Instant Pot multi-cooker.

The Instant Pot has been the runaway sensation of multicooker kitchen appliances. And the ketogenic diet, with its emphasis on high fat and protein intake along with very low carb consumption, has been embraced as a radical new way to eat to lose weight and get healthy. The Instant Pot's versatility as a pressure cooker, slow cooker, steamer, yogurt maker, and rice cooker makes it an incredibly useful multi-cooker appliance that can be used to cook virtually anything, and it's also the ideal appliance for cooking anything keto.

Keto in an Instant features over 100 ketogenic recipes all designed to be made in the Instant Pot. Each recipe includes key nutritional data for keto followers, as well as clear, detailed instructions for using the Instant Pot to create the recipes. In addition to the recipes, readers will gain insight on how the ketogenic diet works, and benefit from practical guidance for following a ketogenic eating plan. Also included is useful information on using and maintaining the Instant Pot, tips and tricks for using the Instant Pot in the kitchen, and much more.

My thoughts-

I have an extensive collection of Keto cookbooks so it is a rarity to come across one that has fresh new recipes that make me excited enough to think I need yet another one. Keto in an Instant is a rare exception. I was giddy to see a recipe for pot roast that I actually want to eat (mushrooms and celery in place of potatoes and carrots sounds just fine to me!), as I have really been missing a good roast. The entire breakfast section sounded fantastically delicious, as did the desserts. I pretty much want to cook every recipe in this book. I love that it is all Instant Pot recipes because electric pressure cooking makes life way easier. I would recommend this book to anyone who follows a ketogenic or low carb lifestyle or who just want a book full of healthy, easy, tasty recipes to make.

Keto Diet Your 30-Day Plan to Lose Weight, Balance Hormones, Boost Brain Health, and Reverse Disease by Josh Axe

*Disclosure of material connection- I received a copy of the book from the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for my honest thoughts. I was not required to write a positive review and all opinions stated are 100% my own.

About the book-

From the author of the national bestseller Eat Dirt, a 30-day healthy plan -- including more than 80 delicious recipes -- to burn fat, fight inflammation, and reverse disease using the keto diet.

Today, the ketogenic diet is the world's fastest growing diet, and with good reason. When practiced correctly, it has been proven to burn fat, reduce inflammation, fight cancer, balance hormones and gut bacteria, improve neurological diseases, and even increase lifespan. Unfortunately, many people remain unaware of several key factors that are crucial to the diet's success, setting them up for frustration, failure, and relapse.

In Keto Diet, bestselling author Dr. Josh Axe sets the record straight, offering thorough, step-by-step guidance to achieving lifelong health. Unlike other books on the subject, Keto Diet identifies and details five different ketogenic protocols and explains why picking the right one for your body and lifestyle is fundamental to your success.

Inside, you'll find all the tools they need to say goodbye to stubborn fat and chronic disease once and for all, including:shopping listsdelicious recipesexercise routinesaccessible explanations of the science behind keto's powerful effectsfive different keto plans and a guide to choosing the one that fits you best!

My thoughts-

I have been eagerly waiting for this book to be available anywhere for me to read. I have been dabbling with Keto for a couple of years and I have been following Josh Axe on Instagram, Facebook, and Youtube for quite some time too, so I really wanted to read what information he presented. I was surprised to find a couple of modifications I have normally heard are keto no-no's like the inclusion of beans (in very small amounts) but over all this book is exactly what I expected. It is full of information about what Keto is, about why it works, how it can help various ailments (cancer and depression/anxiety being of the most interest to me), and Dr. Axe has also included what supplements you should take as well. I loved that there were several meal plans laid out throughout the book depending on why you are doing the ketogenic approach, and pretty much every recipe included sounds fantastically delicious. I also liked that he talks about how to go into maintenance mode as well. Keto Diet is a great place to start for Keto beginners and also a great book for someone who has been on this ride for a while looking for new recipes. I also recommend checking out Dr. Axe's website for his awesome supplements from his wellness company Ancient Nutrition. I use the Keto Multi and it is awesome and I just ordered the Beauty + Sleep collagen to add to my regimen as well.

Keto Slow Cooker & One-Pot Meals (Bookbook Reviews)

*Disclosure of material connection- I received a copy of the book from the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for my honest thoughts. I was not required to write a positive review and all opinions stated are 100% my own.

About the book-

Slow cooker and one pot meals are the ultimate convenience food. Just fix and forget, then enjoy a nourishing meal when everyone gets home.

Unfortunately, most slow cooker and one-pot recipes depend on processed, high-carbohydrate ingredients like noodles, potatoes, and other high-glycemic ingredients which aren’t allowed on the ketogenic diet.
Keto Slow Cooker & One-Pot Meals lets you enjoy your slow cooker while maintaining your ketogenic diet, too!
Filled with 100 keto recipes for everything from satisfying soups, to quick skillet meals, and savory stews, you'll always be able to get a healthy ketogenic meal on the table with no fuss!

My thoughts-

I am always looking for ways to diversify the ketogenic diet that I follow. This, for me, has been the absolute best way to not only lose weight, but feel and look healthier. Keto Slow Cooker & One-Pot Meals is a great addition to my cookbook collection. I like that there is a healthy mixture of foods from all kinds of different regions. I love a variety of foods, and like recipes like chicken tikka masala, and moussaka. It is easier to eat well when you have a variety of delicious options! I also like that the nutrition facts are listed, particularly the fat and fiber which are both extremely important to track or at least have an idea of when eating this way. Particularly of note is the dessert section, which is full of delicious ways to conquer my sweet tooth without compromising the Keto way of life. I highly recommend this cookbook to anyone following any kind of low carbohydrate diet.

Keto For Cancer by Miriam Kalamian (Book Review)

*Disclosure of material connection- I received a copy of the book from the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for my honest thoughts. I was not required to write a positive review and all opinions stated are 100% my own.

About the book-

Although evidence supporting the benefits of ketogenic diet therapies continues to mount, there is little to guide those who wish to adopt this diet as a metabolic therapy for cancer. Keto for Cancer fills this need.
Inspired by the work of Dr. Thomas N. Seyfried, keto nutrition specialist Miriam Kalamian has drawn on a decade of experience to write the first book to lay out comprehensive guidelines that specifically address the many diet and lifestyle challenges associated with a cancer diagnosis.
Kalamian, a leading voice in the keto movement, is driven by passion from her own experience in using the ketogenic diet for her young son whose compelling story is woven throughout the narrative. Her book addresses the nuts and bolts of adopting the diet, from deciding whether keto is the right choice to developing a personal plan for smoothly navigating the keto lifestyle. It is invaluable for both beginners and seasoned users of the ketogenic diet, as well as for health-care professionals who need a toolkit to implement this targeted metabolic therapy
The book guides readers to a deeper understanding of the therapeutic potential of the ketogenic diet-which extends well beyond simply starving cancer-emphasizing the powerful impact the diet has on the metabolism of cancer cells. Nutritional nuances are explored in sections such as "Which Fasting Plan Is Best for You" and "Redefine Your Relationship with Sugar," while simple meal templates and tracking tools are provided in "Plan for Success."
Kalamian also discusses the importance of self-advocacy and empowers readers to get off the bench and "get in the game." Keto for Cancer is a playbook of tips and strategies for cancer management that can be incorporated into a truly personalized treatment plan.

My thoughts-

I don't have cancer but I have an enormous family history of it. I currently have 3 great aunts and uncles all battling different types of cancer, and have seen many more family members fight battles the last five years or so. I started following a ketogenic diet myself back in late July and I have noticed how much better I feel so I wanted to gather information to share with my family. Keto For Cancer is a comprehensive overview. It explains the science behind the ketogenic diet, the difference between it vs. Atkins, and the author's personal journey with her own son. The beginning of the book is about the science and reads a little bit like a medical journal so it might be difficult for some to follow,  but after that the tone becomes more conversational. I really liked that the author included all of the things an oncologist might say to discourage a ketogenic diet, mostly due to lack of information on their part about the diet, so that you will be armed with the information of why this way of eating can help people dealing with cancer. Since Keto is a sugar free diet this makes total since to me since cancer feeds off of sugar. I recommend this book to not only anyone going through cancer, but to anyone with a family history of cancer.

Dr. Colbert's Keto Zone Diet by Don Colbert, MD (Book Review)

About the book-

Wanting or needing to lose weight? The answer is not a pill, medication, or surgery. The answer is a nutritional one that might surprise you.
Dr Colbert, who has been practicing medicine for 30 years, has taken his nutrition, cancer treatment, and weight loss training to a whole new level. Colbert not only helps you lose weight, he helps you plan out a healthy life that you can enjoy!

My thoughts-

I was lucky enough to get an advanced copy of this book via Netgalley.com before it's September release. I devoured it in one setting. Dr. Colbert really breaks down why getting in the "Keto Zone" helps you to lose weight effortlessly. The idea is to have a diet consisting of mostly good fats that your body will in turn burn off. I plan to give this a try and see if I can finally get these stubborn pounds I gained from pregnancies off once and for all. Dr. Colbert's Keto Zone Diet is worth a read for anyone interested in the science behind a high fat/low carb diet or anyone wanting something effective to do for weight loss or other health benefits.
