Tender Romance by Ralph Lauren

Disclosure of material connection- I received a sample of Tender Romance from Influenster in exchange for my honest thoughts. I was not required to write a positive review and all opinions stated are 100% my own.

I don't think there has ever been a Ralph Lauren fragrance (for women or men) that I haven't liked, but I think Tender Romance will definitely shoot near the top of the list. The bottle is simple yet elegant so I am left with a good impression even before I open it up and smell the scent. I love that Tender Romance is subtle enough to be used as a daily perfume, but has a romantic yet innocent air about it that makes it perfect for a night out with my husband. I have always loved the sweet, romantic smell of cashmere and I love that it combines well here with another favorite scent of mine- magnolia, a light floral scent. Bringing the two fragrances together is a hint of ginger that gives it the perfect finish. I would recommend this fragrance to anyone who who likes a light floral scent.

Reese's Spread Review

Disclosure of material connection- I received a sample of the product via Influenster in exchange for my honest thoughts. I was not required to write a positive review and all opinions stated are 100% my own.

I am always excited to discover new dessert products. I definitely have a sweet tooth and I probably don't need to discover new sweets, but I enjoy it nonetheless. The best motto is everything in moderation. Anyway, I was always a fan of peanut butter cup fans growing up and have been known to occasionally indulge and Nutella and this Reese's spread almost feels like the two got married. There is so much you can do with  a chocolate spread. You can put it on crepes or toast, you can use it to create delicious cookies, or you can use it to dip your favorite chocolate dippables. Pretzels are always fun and a lot of people don't know this, but chocolate also tastes fantastic with potato chips (don't know it til you try it!!), but my favorite way to use a chocolate dip is to enhance the taste of delicious fruit. I have tried this Reese's spread with several kinds of fruit now and I haven't discovered a bad pair yet! My absolute favorite so far has been dipping granny smith apples in the Reese's spread- it is just the right amount of chocolate peanut butter sweetness cut by the beautiful tartness of the green apples.I highly recommend giving it a try!

Influenster GoVoxBox Review (Health & Wellness Products)

Disclosure- I received one or more of the products mentioned below from Influenster in exchange for my honest thoughts. All opinions stated are 100% my own.

I love when Influenster sends me a VoxBox! These are themed boxes with several full sized products to try out. The theme of the #GoVoxBox is health and wellness, so these are all products to help you achieve your health and wellness goals. This is a very important aspect of my life, so I was super excited to give these products a try and found several that I really love! Here is what was included in the box-

These almonds from Blue Diamond are covered with a blueberry powder sweetened with stevia. Not my cup of tea, but
that is because I am not a blueberry fan. My kids devoured them. I want to try the strawberry ones!

There was a coupon for a free container of Muller Yogurt.
I tried the lemon flavored one. It was delicious!

Our periods show up no matter how active we want to be, I love that this
Playtex Sport Fresh Balance tampon allows us to be as active as we want without worry!

This little pedi-rock from ProFoot is great on the feet after a hard run or jog
or just being on your feet all day. It helps keep feet and heels
soft & smooth!

I have not had the chance to use my Pro-foot orthotics yet, but I have a tendency to have low
back pain, so I am looking forward to trying them out!

Aqua Spa Lavender + Chamomile was one of my favorite things
included in this VoxBox. This is truly the best smelling lotion I
have ever come across and I love that it is free of parabens.
Lavender is great for relaxing so I use it every evening
before I lay down to go to sleep for the night.

Next Step Fit N' Full Shake from the Vitamin Shoppe was my absolute
favorite thing includedin the #GoVoxBox. There was a sample each of
swiss chocolate, vanillaand mixed berries. The mixed berries
I didn't like, the vanilla was pretty goodbut the chocolate was fantastic.
I have bought a couple of containers of this already and have
been using it as a replacement for breakfast as I try to shed some pounds.
Love that it contains fiber and fat blocker in addition to the traditional protein.
Definitely keeps me full and tastes great, my husband has started using this
protein drink as well! We are impressed with this product!

Overall, I really enjoyed this VoxBox. All of these products are great options for taking steps in the right direction to get healthier and more fit. I am glad I had the opportunity to try them all out and discover some new favorites!

Influenster's Good Life VoxBox- Great Products to Get Your Healthy Living On

*Disclosure- I received the Good Life VoxBox in exchange for my honest review. I was not required to render a positive review. All opinions stated are 100% my own.

The Good Life VoxBox

I have received several VoxBoxes from Influester in the few years that I have been a member of their website and I have to say- this one has been one of my favorites- second only to the Mary Kay VoxBox, which will be super hard to top. I am kind of a health nut, so I love discovering new products to enhance that part of my life. The Good Life VoxBox was full of some great health related products, several of which I had never even heard of. Here is what was in the box:

Zone Perfect Greek Yogurt Bars-

Meal replacement bars have been around for a while, but the Greek yogurt craze is a fairly new phenomenon. Zone Perfect took tasty "health" food- Greek yogurt- and coated what may have otherwise been a so-so tasting meal replacement bar with it. The one I received was pretty tasty. Definitely a bar that I would eat again.

Nonni's Thin Addictives-

I loved these! Nonni's Thin Addictives were really tasty biscotti. I thought the texture was perfect and the taste was spot on. This is the kind of healthy snack that you don't mind eating because it almost feels like an indulgence.

UrgentRx-

I hadn't heard of UrgentRx until I received this box from Influenster. It is a really novel idea. These are effervescent drinks that treat specific ailments- got a headache? There's an UrgentRx for that. Allergies? They have you covered! They also have drink powders for heart burn, critical care and stomach upset. This is definitely a more natural way to treat your ailments. I will definitely be using these more.

New Skin Liquid Band-Aid

I was so excited about this product because my kids and I are constantly getting little cuts and scrapes outside. I happened to have cut my foot the day this box arrived, so I took out the liquid band-aid to try. I put it on right after the cut and boy did it burn when I sprayed it on, but other than that, I was impressed. It kept my wound protected and I forgot all about it. In fact I wondered why there was a little part of my foot that looked so slimy and then I remembered that I had sprayed that on! Next time, I will just wait a little bit before spraying it on so hopefully it won't burn as much, but I really liked the New Skin Liquid Band-Aid.

Vitamin Shoppe Garcinia Cambogia-

I am usually not a weight loss aid type of person, but Garcinia Cambogia is a natural product and I have heard about it on the Dr. Oz show so I was excited to try it. You take two capsules before each meal. I have definitely noticed a bit of appetite suppression and that this is a great aid to keep the digestive system working well. I even lost a few pounds. I bought a second bottle I liked it so much, so hopefully I will be able to lose a few more.

There was not a product in the Good Life VoxBox that I didn't like. I would recommend any of these products to anyone trying to lead a healthier lifestyle or just is curious about health related products.

Mary Kay Makeup Review

*Disclosure- I received Mary Kay Products via Influenster for testing purposes. All opinions stated are 100% my own.

I was SO excited when I learned that I was one of the lucky Influenster members that would get to try several Mary Kay products through their Vox Box program! When my box arrived the first thing I thought was "Wow, what a cute box!!" It was so girlie! When I got past how cute it was an opened it up, I was excited to see some of my favorite types of makeup products included. The box had a cream eye shadow in the shade violet storm, a eye cream/concealer makeup brush, True Dimensions lipstick in the shade pink cherie, eyelash primer and lash lengthening mascara.

My first thought on the products was that I LOVED the lipstick. It was a great shade of pink, just enough color for daytime wear. It took me a second to figure out how to open the tube because the top kind of clicks off instead of just automatically opening, but when I finally figured it out I thought it was so cool. The innovation in the clicking tube is that it is impossible to break your lipstick by it rolling up into the lid on accident! I don't know if I explained that well, but believe me, this is an awesome thing! After I tried on the lipstick, I tried the eyelash primer and mascara. I think the primer teamed with the lengthening mascara truly makes a difference. I mean, really? Look at how long my lashes look in the above picture! No clumps either. This is fantastic mascara and the primer just give in an extra kick! To finish off my look, it was time to try violet storm. I was excited because purple is my favorite color, but nervous because it's such a bold color. I have tried cream eye colors in the past, but they always only lasted a few hours before smudging or disappearing all together. I LOVED the way violet storm looked against my skin (that doesn't happen often with anything outside of the neutral color realm) and couldn't wait to go out and show off my new look. I got compliments from several different people. And it stayed put. All day. I mean ALL DAY. I really do plan to buy this eye cream in several more colors. It will be my go to eye makeup from now on! The makeup brush included in the box is a great brush that makes application a breeze, even for a novice.

Overall, I was impressed. Not a product in the box I didn't like. These products could stand up to much more expensive beauty products. I would highly recommend any of these, but if you can only splurge on one thing definitely go for the eye cream!

Kiss Ever Pro Lashes Starter Kit Review

About once or twice a week for the last few weeks, I have been writing reviews about individual products I got from Influenster in the Beauty Bloggers Vox Box. There were some many wonderful products, they all deserved their own dedicated blog post! I saved one of my favorites for last! The Kiss Ever Pro Lashes were my first experience with false lashes. I have been wanting to try them for a while, but have found them to be a tiny bit intimidating. For the majority of my life, I have been a mascara and lip gloss kind of girl, but lately I have been playing more with makeup and my look and false lashes seemed like a fun (and dramatic!) leap! So I was pretty excited to see them included in my voxbox to try out.

I wasn't sure if I would be able to apply them by myself since it was my first tango with falsies. It took me a few tries, but I did manage to eventually get them on without any help! I was super proud of myself for that! Of course, it didn't have anything to do with my makeup skills, but everything to do with the adhesive and lash applicator included in the starter kit. False lashes just add such a new dynamic to your overall look. If you have been wanting to try them or just curious, but intimidated like I was, this starter set is just right for you! Give it a try! And for those of you that already love your falsies, well this set will make the application process simple and quick! I would recommend these to any make up lover or girlie girl!

Goody Spin Pin Review

When I found out I was going to get the Beauty Blogger's Vox Box from Influenster full of great beauty products, of course I was super excited to try out ALL of the awesome products included. I was THRILLED to see Goody Spin Pins included. I was a little bummed that my hair is just shy of the right length to get a bun up, but I know I could try them out in my 5year old's long hair!

The perfect opportunity to do so was a while back at a Halloween gathering in our neighborhood. My daughter was going as Rapunzel and and I needed to put her hair up in a bun so I could get her Rapunzel headband of hair on her head. It took me less than 5 minutes to get the pins in her hair, which is extremely fast when you are fixing a little girl's hair! But where longevity is important these little pins delivered. We were out for about 5 hours and her hair stayed perfectly in place the entire time. When I was ready to take them out, I was afraid that the spiral design might cause me to pull on her hair a little, but it didn't and it didn't seem to hurt getting them out of her hair at all.

I can't wait until my hair grows a little so I can try them in my own hair. I plan to include these with a few Christmas gifts for the college aged girls in my family that I know would appreciate the quick fix of the spin pins, but that their hair will still look cute! I highly recommend these to pretty much any woman who likes to throw their hair up in a bun or who has a little girl. Say goodbye to bobby pins!

Influenster's Beauty Blogger VoxBox Review

I love beauty products. I can NOT get enough of them. I think it mostly comes from not being allowed to wear makeup growing up, it's like I am making up for lost time! I will almost always accept an opportunity to try out beauty products, so I was really excited to find out that I would be one of the lucky Influenster members that received a Beauty Bloggers Vox Box. What's this means is I got a box full of wonderful, FULL SIZED products to try out and share my opinions on.

The box included:
VitaBath Pomegranate and Blood Orange Body Mist
2 oz White Barn Mini Candle from Bath and Body Works (I received Mahogany & Teakwood)
Kiss Ever Pro False Lash starter kit
NYC New York Color Individual Eyes Compact Pallette (eye shadow)
Goody Spin Pins
and I received a bonus item of Not Your Mother's Kinky Moves Curl Defining Cream.

I was excited about everything in this box, there was not a single thing I did not want to try out. I thought the body mist smelled awesome and I was excited to find out that VitaBath offers a wide selection of scents and many other bath and body products as well. I will definitely be trying out some more of them.

The candle from Bath & Body works smelled amazing! I am happy that Mahogany & Teakwood is the scent I got, it is perfect for my taste. I will more than likely buy a full sized one as well and will more than likely purchase a few of these candles as gifts for the holidays. (The mid size and mini candles are on sale right now, so head to Bath  & Body Works soon to score the best deal!)

The false lashes were the most fun for me because I have never tried them before, but have always wanted to. I did have a little trouble applying the lashes to my right eye for some reason, but practice makes perfect. These lashes definitely make a huge impact on your overall eye look and for a fraction of the price you would pray for other brands, you get the same quality.

I really enjoyed the NYC Individual Color Palette. I like that the primer illuminator were included in the palette and that with the 5 complementing shades you are able to create several different looks customized to your preference. Not bad for $4.99!  I will be buying more of these for sure- and soon.

The Goody Spin Pins were a big highlight in this box for me. My hair is short right now, so I couldn't quite get them in to  make a messy bun (almost though! soon!) I did use them in my 5 year old's hair and  it only took me about 5 minutes to get them in and they stayed put all day. If these pins can survive all day in a pre-schooler's hair, they are certainly going to be easy for an adult to use. I can't wait to be able to use them myself!

I also received as a bonus item (lucky me! yay!) Not Your Mother's Kinky Moves Curl Definer. I thought it worked pretty well, but I did not care for the smell. The smell wasn't so bad I wouldn't use the product, but it also took me two seperate shampoos to get it out of my hair. Maybe I used more than directed, but for me, I would use this product sparingly.

Thank you so  much to all of these great companies and Influenster for allowing me to try all of these products and share my feedback with you. I look forward to continuing to use the good  majority of them!

NYC Individual Eyes Custom Compact Review

I have always been a minimalist when it came to make up. I just didn't have the time to mess with anything other than mascara, foundation and lip gloss. As I get older and really since my kids were born, I have been dabbling a little more in other things like eye liner and eye shadow. I love playing with  my look, but I need my makeup routine to be quick.

I was super excited to see the NYC New York Color Individual Eyes Custom Compact included in my most recent VoxBox from Influenster. The palette included was filled with beautiful greys and I enjoyed playing around and seeing what worked for me. I came up with a very subtle day time look using the two lighter greys and a full on smoky look using all of the colors and the handy instructions included in the package. The coolest thing about this compact is that it also includes primer and illumination and it costs less than most compacts of the same sort. It also has staying power. I didn't notice it rubbing off at all.

The Individual Eyes Custom Compact also offers palettes for specific eyes colors as well as smokey shadows for your specific eye color as well. I know I will without a doubt be getting the central park palette the next time I feel the need for more eye shadow, I may even treat myself to it the next time I go to the store since it's only 5 bucks!

I highly recommend this line of eye shadow to makeup lovers and even to makeup newbies. It would also make a great stocking stuffer this Christmas season!
